Rusty and kids: As I learned of Cami's death, I couldn't help but think about our school years, the slumber parties, birthday parties and the countless memories you share with a classmate. Cami was always a sweet, sweet person- quiet, soft spoken and so smart. I didn't have the opportunity to stay in touch with her following graduation, yet my heart aches and my spirit greives over the loss of her life especially for you, her family. Dear Mr. Schaub and family, You probably don't know me, but I had Mrs. Schaub as my student teacher when I was in the 6th grade at Dennis school. She was the best student teacher I ever had to this day and probably will be the best I ever had in all of my school career. She didn't stop at teaching the regular subjects, but went past what was expected of her to teach us about aviation, aerodynamics, and many other interesting subjects. Most of which are not commonly taught in the classroom. She lit a flame that is still burning in me today encouraging me to become a pilot and pursue an aviation career. She was always encouraging students to do their best in and out of school and to follow for their dreams. In the classroom there was never a moment when she wasn't happy and joyous. Cami and I went to Moweaqua High School together for twelve years. I was so glad that her and I were friends and remained friends after high school. She was a wonderful person. Cami was a very thoughtful person always looking out for others and being there for you when you needed her. I enjoyed several slumber parties at her house as a child eating lots of junk food!!! She loved her chocolate and Bon Jovi!! We voluntereed together at DMH and got lots of enjoyment out of that. As adults I remember many conversations with her she was so proud of her children and her husband Rusty when he became a pilot. One thing about in the short time she had with us she accomplished quite a few things when she set out to do something she did it no matter what it took!!!!!! And finally to her family left behind cherish all of those fond memories and see her through her children. She is now a angel in the sky looking down on us. God will pull us through this trying time.
