Carl E. Brazier's Obituary
Decatur-Carl E. Brazier, 72, of Decatur, departed this life on Friday, March 4, 2016 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Carl was born May 5, 1943 in Miller City, Illinois the son of Archie Sr. and Mattie (Hopkins) Brazier. He was employed with ADM. Carl married Dollie Chaney and from this union two daughters were born. Dollie preceded him in death.
Carl leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters Carla Rowe and Letrina (Keith) Gray, grandchildren Demtral Brazier, Dominique McMillin, Letrina Brazier, Ronald Hill, Leon Neal and Carla Brazier, brothers Kenneth (Isabella) Brazier, Harland Brazier, and Terry Brazier, sisters Melva Davis, Gloria Brazier, and Dorothy (Lonnie) Williford, special nephew Falvin Brazier, brothers-in-law Ira Herron, and Lonnie Williford, and a host of loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Carl was greeted into Heaven by his parents, wife Dollie, brothers Kermit, James, and Archie Jr., sisters Mearl Herron and Joyce Carter, and sister-in-law Brenda Blue Brazier.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff on 4th floor ICU at DMH for all of their loving care and support.
Homegoing services to celebrate Carl’s life will be 12 noon Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, 2091 N. Oakland Ave. Decatur, IL. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
