Carlyle Paul "Curly" Reinhold's Obituary
Carlyle Paul "Curly" Reinhold, 78, of Decatur, entered into eternal life on Sunday August 17, 2003.
Services celebrating his life will be 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003, in St. John's Lutheran Church; visitation will be one hour before services in the church. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home and Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials to: St. John's Lutheran Church or Lutheran School Association.
Curly was born in Decatur on May 19, 1925 the son of Emil and Alma Louise Orkoski Reinhold. He worked for A.E. Staley Mfg. for 39 years retiring in 1986. Curly was an Army veteran of WWII, a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church, lifetime member of D.A.V. #17, member of the American Legion Castle Williams Post #105, V. F.W. Oren L. Davis Post #99 and A.I.W. local
6-837. An avid Chicago Cub fan, Curly played softball for several years and has been inducted into the Illinois Softball Hall of Fame as a catcher. He married Dolores Short on October 2, 1949 in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife of nearly 54 years; sister in law, Marjorie Reinhold of Decatur; niece, Christine Tomlinson; great niece, Corinne, great nephew Robert, several cousins and friends.
His parents and brother Robert Reinhold preceded him in death.
