Carol Kendall Shackleford 62 of Williamston, S.C. formerly of Decatur died Friday December 03, 2004.

Carol was born in Decatur on November 11, 1942 to Betty Oliver Kendall. She was a Keep Punch Operator for many years for Donaldson Air Force Base. She married James Robert Shackleford, he survives.
Also surviving include her mother, Betty Blankenship of Decatur, sons; Tony Childress of Fairborn, OH and Tommy Childress and wife Nan of Belton, S.C., step-son Lee Keith of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Lori Hunter and husband Fred of Peidmont, S.C.; brothers Dale Blankenship and wife Karen of Springfield and Donald Blankenship and wife Jill Kempf of Austin, TX; sisters Kelli Blankenship of Decatur and step – sister Janet Dobson of Cerro Gordo; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Carol is preceded in death by her dad Lloyd Blankenship, and first husband Donald Childress.
