Carol J Taylor's Obituary
Carol Jeanette Taylor went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at her house in Decatur, IL. She was 68 years young.
A Home Going service to celebrate the life of Carol will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at the Trinity C.M.E Church in Decatur, Illinois, with a visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. till the time of the service. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
Carol was born to Marshall West and Lezell (Wynne) West on November 29, 1943 in Brownsville, TN. She is a graduate of Haywood County Public School of Brownsville. As a child she confessed faith in Christ at Taylor Chapel of Brownsville, and over her lifetime enjoyed worshipping at Greater Northside Missionary Baptist Church of Decatur, IL, Center for Hope Ministries of Bloomington, IL, and her church home Trinity C.M.E. church of Decatur, IL where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was formerly employed with Borg Warner Manufacturing Company, Lehn & Fink Companies, worked as a home health care assistant with different agencies, and her most joyous assignment was serving as a 'Grandmother' at New Horizon/Anna Waters Daycare center.
She married Freddie T. Taylor in 1962 and to this union was born four children.
Left to cherish her loving memory is her mother, her Uncle Ural (Eva) Wynne, and her Aunt Essie Wynne; daughter and sons: Yvonne Denise (Pervy) Smith of Bloomington, IL, Frederick Wayne (Delorise) Taylor of Decatur, IL, and Carlos Thomas Taylor of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren: Rakai, Preston, Condia, Remo, Antonio, JaVan, and Giovante'; great-grandchildren: DeAsia, Nadia, and Marvelle Anthony; brothers and sisters: Marshall (Pam) West, James (Clemmie) West, Shirley West-Jackson, Aaron West, Lillie West-Perkins, Linda West, Lawrence West, Ulyss (Brenda) West; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Anjeanette Taylor, her father, and her sister, Margaret West-Taylor.
