Carole Anne Rector's Obituary
Carole Anne Rector, 68, of Decatur, entered into eternal life on Sunday, May 11, 2003 in her home.
Funeral Mass will be 6 P.M. Wednesday, May 14, 2003 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Fr. Richard Weltin celebrant. Visitation will be from 4 until 6 P.M. in the church. Graveside services will be at 10 A.M. Thursday, May 15, 2003 in Macon County Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. J. J. Carole was born in Hinsdale on August 19, 1934 the daughter of Lawrence and Ernestine Gasser McNiel. She worked for several years as a school teacher, guidance counselor, and school psychologist at Enterprise school; Giles County High School in Pulaski, TN.; and Central A&M High School. Carole was a graduate of St. Teresa High School, attended Millikin University for two years, received a Bachelors degree from Eastern Illinois University, and her masters in guidance and counseling from Middle Tennessee State University. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Carole was united in marriage to James L Rector on April 27, 1957 in Decatur.
Surviving are her husband; son, Pastor Ron Mary Ann Rector of Maroa; sister, Lois J. Tom Smith of Decatur; grandchildren, Scott, Jonathan and Sarah Rector; three nieces, two nephews and many-many friends and co-workers.
Her parents and one sister preceded her in death.
