Carolyn A. Owen's Obituary
Carolyn Ann Owen McIntosh, 55, of Decatur was born on January 31, 1959 in Decatur to Edna (Campbell) Owen and the late Robert Owen Jr. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior before passing on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 5:25 AM in Decatur Memorial Hospital when the Lord called her home.
Carolyn married Troy McIntosh on August 19, 1986. She was employed at Hometown buffet for five years before her health started failing her.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, Troy McIntosh; children, Ebony McIntosh (Tracey Wade) and Larry Bond; grandson LaT’revion Wade; Mother, Edna Owen; sisters, Alice Smith (Johnny B.), Marie Stagger (Craig); brother, John Owen (Callie); special nieces, Paula Ingram, Aqueelah Muhammad (Jerry Webb), Raja, Thameenah, Hadiyah Muhammad, Tralee Lynn; great nieces, Alicia Blue and Whitnee Muhammad; nephews, Taufeeq Muhammad, Len Owen, Jerrell Webb, and Naji Muhammad; best friend, Gloria Young; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Owen Jr.; sisters, Edna Dewalt and Khalilah Muhammad; nieces, Elaine Dewalt and Pam White; aunt, Bernadine Douglas; and nephew, Ali Muhammad.
The family would like to thank Bill and Angel Burnett for their support from the beginning and to the end. The family would also like to give thanks to Jason and Aaron at DMH ICU for their comfort given to the family.
Visitation will be 2-3 PM Saturday, December 20, 2014 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with a time of sharing at 3 PM. A Private family burial will be Monday in Graceland Cemetery.
