Catherine N. Nielsen's Obituary
Decatur – Catherine N. Nielsen, 37, of Decatur, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020.
Catherine was born on June 3, 1983, in Decatur, the daughter of Sharon L. (Myers) Nielsen. An excellent crafter who could make anything, Catherine loved to go shopping at Hobby Lobby.
Catherine is survived by her mother, Sharon and her sister, Erica (Joseph) Brown of Decatur; nieces: Abigail and Aurora Brown and nephew, Keagan Brown; grand-mother Jo Ann Coffey; uncle David (Terry) Myers and their children and grandchildren, aunt Pamela (Dan) Benscoter, uncle Michael Myers, and uncle Tracy (Denise) Nielsen; great aunts: Phyllis Kissell and Betty (Ron) Price; cousins: Ashley Dawson and her children Ashton and Jensen, Sarah (Luke) McKenzie and their daughter Adaline, and Angie Kissell; special friends Sherry Trimby, Elaine Snyder, and Linda Calabro; and Catherine’s dogs Maggie and Lola.
Catherine was preceded in death by her grand-father Harry Myers, uncle Brent Nielsen, great uncle Bill Myers, and her service dog River.
Graveside services will be at 1 pm on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Mt. Gilead Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation.
