Channing Lanae Davis' Obituary
Decatur – Channing Lanae Davis, 23, of Decatur went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2016.
Channing was born on November 19, 1992 in Decatur the daughter of Sharron Harris and Charles Davis. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in 2011 and received her nursing certificate from Richland Community College. She was a member of the Springfield Urban League and worked for Cim-Tek in Bement.
Channing was under the Pastorship of Elder Franklin R. Dotson, Rev. William Henry, and Rev. Courtney Carson. She accepted Christ under the Pastorship of Elder Dotson.
She leaves behind her mother, Sharron Harris of Decatur; father, Charles Davis of Las Vegas, NV; grandmothers, G. Audrey Harris of Ramsey; and Catherine Davis of Decatur; brothers, Charles A. Davis of Decatur; Dexter Davis of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Tavena Williams of New Jersey; Lanae Davis of Las Vegas, NV; step-brothers, Jimichael Baker and Deonte’ Stone both of Las Vegas, NV; step-sister, Stevina McGee of Las Vegas, NV; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Charles Davis and Lenford O’Neal, and a sister, Chasity Davis.
Funeral service to celebrate Channing’s life will be 11 AM Friday, May 20, 2016 in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Thursday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
