Charles Richard Antrim's Obituary
Charles Antrim, 89, transitioned from earth to Heaven, January 15th at 4:30 P.M. in Sullivan. He had suffered from Alzheimer’s for several years and had kept trucking in spite of how he felt.
Many, many friends and family stepped in to help when needed. For those, we are thankful!
He certainly was busy with life. He was in the Air Force, farmed, worked for Norge Company, then went on to graduate from Lakeland, and for years was Certified Financial Planner with American Express. Then he retired, not really, he worked ten more years for A.D.M. He enjoyed working.
In addition to that, he was a deacon, worked seven years on Lay Witness Mission, and thirteen years with Illinois State Baptist Disaster Relief, lastly doing mission work in Romania.
He loved his wife, Kay of almost 58 years, his daughters, Shelly, and Dena Rae (Jake-Son-in-law).
In addition, there are grandchildren: Gina, Devin, Chase, Tye, Cole, Zane, and Max. Also included are great-grandchildren: Alex, Danae, Ezzy, Zoe, A.J. and Mia.
Others in the family are sisters Joan and Betty and many nieces and nephews.
His mom, Rosalie and dad, Alonzo, are deceased, as well as: Orville, Jim, Frank, Everett, Bill, Raymond, Bob, Lee, Edith and Virginia.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday (01-27-2025) at Tabernacle Baptist Church with visitation from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the church.
