Decatur-Charles T. “Chuck” Belk, 58, of Decatur, passed away Monday, March 05, 2012 at Decatur Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
Memorial services to celebrate Chuck’s life will be 3 pm Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the Eagles Club in Decatur.
Chuck was born July7, 1953 in Peoria the son of LaVerne E. and Sarah Pulliam Belk. He was a self employed drywall contractor and member of the Eagles Aries 507.
He leaves behind his sons Charles Belk Mills of Decatur and Dakota and Dalton Belk both of Utah, mother Sarah Belk McGrath of Decatur, granddaughters Shala and Tristan Mills of Decatur, brother LaVerne Belk of Iowa, sisters Nancy Steve Munson, Ruth Terrell, and Mary Jane Foster Lynn all of Decatur and Yvonne Baker of Arizona, special friends Van Edwards, Nancy Liden, and Carl Chandler all of Decatur, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and niece Crystal Grant Brockel.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Doctors, nurses, and staff of the 4th floor at DMH.
