Charles "Allan" Bullock's Obituary
Charles “Allan” Bullock, 75, passed away on December 30, 2023, at the VA Independance House in Danville, IL, after a four day stay.
Allan was born to Charles P. and Mary A. Bullock on February 14, 1948, in Shelbyville, IL. He was a 1967 graduate of Mt. Zion High School, Mt. Zion, IL. He was a Vietnam veteran. Allan served in the US Army from February 1969 to May 1970, leaving behind a two-day old son, Jimmy.
During Allan's teenage years, he spent most of his time helping in his grandparents’ grocery stores. As a result of this experience, Allan and his wife, Mary, owned and operated Oakland Produce in Decatur, IL for 25 years.
Allan was a devout KJV Bible believer and was comforted knowing he was heaven-bound.
Allan is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary N. Bullock of Warrensburg, IL; sons, James (Donna) A. Bullock of Indianapolis, IN, Jeffrey A. Bullock of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Phillip C Bullock of Decatur, IL; sisters, Sheri (Timm) Oyer of Traverse City, MI, Tari (Tim) Stower of Decatur, IL; 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Mary and stepfather, Ralph A. Handley; father, Charles P. Bullock; sister, Linda Martin; grandson, Nathan Bullock.
A service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Services will be officiated by Pastor Gregory Resor, CrossWork Bible Church, Frankfort, KY.
A burial will take place at Macon County Memorial Park in Harristown, IL following services.
