Charles M. Chapman's Obituary
Charles M. Chapman, 83, of Springfield, died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 in Capitol Care Center, Springfield.
He was born February 12, 1928 in Litchfield, the son of Richard and Nellie Leona Pruit Chapman. A U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, Charles worked as a janitor and was a member of Heartland Worship Center, Sherman. He married Delores J. Saddler March 25, 1980and she preceded him in death March 17, 2008.
Surviving is his step-daughter, Lori Mike Auffenorde of Sherman; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers.
Memorial services to celebrate his life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Heartland Worship Center, 6800 Bahr Road in Sherman. Private burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery. Cremation will take place at Graceland/Fairlawn Crematory. Decatur.
