Charles J. "Chuck" Schaab's Obituary
Decatur – Charles “Chuck” Schaab, 57, passed away on June 30th, 2018 surrounded by family.
Chuck was born November 1st, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri to Jack and Pat Schaab. He married Barb (Newland) Schaab on September 21st, 1985. Chuck graduated Radiology school at Washington University.
He is survived by his wife, Barb Schaab and mother, Pat Schwab. He also leaves behind three sons: Andrew Schaab (Morgan) of Decatur, Charles Schaab II (Jennifer) of Decatur and Benjamin Schaab of the United States Air Force. He also is survived by two grandchildren due this year, many beloved brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Chuck was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He took pride in coaching and watching his sons play sports. He loved fishing, the beach and an ice-cold beer.
He was a great father, husband, brother and son and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be Friday, July 6, 2018, from 5 to 8 PM, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM, Saturday, July 7, 2018, at the church. Burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross for their service to military families assisting when family emergency strikes.
