Charles "Curt" Dalluge's Obituary
Decatur ' Charles 'Curt' C. Dalluge, 64, of Decatur passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Curt was born on October 7, 1947 in Moweaqua, IL the son of Charles L. and Billie L. (Harvey) Dalluge. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, receiving a Bronze Star with a V. device. He was a member of the VFW post 99 and Laborer's Union Local 159. He was an avid boater and camper. He was also a St. Louis Cardinal and Illini Basketball fan. He married Patricia Margias on June 25, 1967 in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife, Pat; son, Charles Steve Dalluge of Decatur; brother, James 'Jim' C. Dalluge (Jenny) of Oreana; sister, Mary F. Dalluge of Decatur; friend, Wally Lipka of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed boating and camping with his brother and sister-in-law, Kirven and Norma Von Behren and son, Kyle.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Douglas and Robert.
The family would like to thank Dr. Velasco, Dr. Elrakhawy, and the nurses and staff of DMH Hospice for all their care.
Funeral service celebrating Curt's Life will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 8, 2012 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4-6 PM Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard and conclude with the 'Flight Home' ceremony. Memorials are suggested to DMH Hospice or the VFW.
