Charles David Haws' Obituary
Oakley-Charles David Haws, 70, of Oakley passed away at 5:30 pm Sunday September 25, 2011in his home.
Charles was born on January 27, 1941 in Decatur the son of David and Mary Lofgren Haws. He was member of Cross Pointe Community Church. He was retired from Coca Cola where he worked as a distribution manager. He loved his pets, mowing the grass at church, and loved his family most of all.
Surviving are his wife Judith, mother, Mary Haws of Decatur; son, Doug Haws Devona of Decatur; daughter, Tricia Longstreet Doug of Mackinaw; step-sons, Scott Barbee Michelle of Oakley; Mark Barbee Susan of Ballwin, MO; Steve Barbee Roxann of Mattoon; sister, Charlene Quick Gale of Decatur; and eight grandchildren, Kollin, Kelci, Lucas, Allyson, Adam, Jared, Emily, and Christopher.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral service celebrating the life of Charles will be 10:00 AM Friday, September, 30, 2011 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery and conclude with the “Flight Home” ceremony. Memorials are suggested to Cross Pointe Community Church.
