The Sunset of Charline W. Anderson
On October 16, 2018, at 10:26 AM, Charline went to be with the Lord. She was greeted at the gates by her mother, 3 sisters, son, and a host of others.
Charline was born August 4, 1924 in Mississippi and later moved to Decatur, IL where she worked, got married and raised a family. She was a long time member of the New Salem Baptist Church of Decatur and truly loved the Lord.
Charline leaves behind her daughter Gloria (Ollie) Maddox, son Mark Anderson both of Decatur, sisters Michelle, Dee Ann and Treasa Woods of Decatur, grandchildren and the family members of Kevin McCaster, DeAmatios & Tommy Henz, Taconis Perkins, Tracy/Otha & Aaron Anderson, James, Darius & Tosha Houston and Marke & Jesse Freeman along with a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles. Charline is also survived by her long-time best buddy, Jeannie Sain.
Charline’s homegoing service will be held 11 AM, Saturday, October 27, 2018 at her home church New Salem Baptist Church located at 352 W. Wood St. Visitation will be from 10 AM – 11 AM prior to the service.
