Charlotte Baine's Obituary
Charlotte Maxine Baine, 93, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, in Decatur, IL. She is absent from the body, but present with The Lord!
She was born on August 15, 1932, in Evansville, Indiana, a daughter of the late Orville Rosser and Roberta Crown Rosser. She married George P. Baine Sr. on December 26, 1947, in Tucson, Arizona, and spent 63 years of marriage with him until his passing on September 16, 2010.
Charlotte managed the Fashion Lane store for over 30 years, in addition to spending her last few working years at the Salvation Army Store. While in health, she enjoyed taking bus tours, and attended service at the Salvation Army Church. She also had a soft spot for animals, loving many dogs and other pets over the years.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, she is preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
She temporarily leaves behind her daughters, Emma R. Baine, Janet Kleidon and husband Bill; son, Phil Baine and wife DeeDee; stepson, Raymond Bain and wife Lorraine; several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
All those who shared in Charlotte’s care over the last two-and-a-half years be blessed. Special thanks to the dedicated staff at The Loft of Rock Springs, Memorial Health Hospice, and Pastor Joe Bowman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any charity in need, especially those for animals.
Charlotte will be truly missed until we join her again in Heaven with our Lord and God. Amen.
