Charlotte Gholson, 90 of Decatur, passed from this life on Saturday January 4, 2003 in Decatur.
Homegoing Services will be 1 P.M. Monday January 13, 2003 in New Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Tyrone Oldham officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services. J. J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Ms. Gholson was born in Fulton Kentucky on May 24, 1912 the daughter of Henry and Gucilla Arnold Dixon. She was a housewife and a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Charlotte married Charley Gholson in 1937 and he passed from this life in June of 1957.
She leaves to cherish fond memories; her daughter, Ethel Mitchell, and son, Charles Gholson both of Decatur; ten grandchildren; thirty five great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her parents, husband, one daughter, one great grandchild, four sisters, and three brothers preceded her in death.
