Charlotte Niemeyer West's Obituary
Mt. Zion-Charlotte Niemeyer West, 94, of Mt. Zion, Illinois, passed away February 4, 2013 in her daughter's home in Port St. Joe, Florida.
She was born June 10, 1918, in Coles County, the daughter of Guy and Edith (Jackson) Hite. She was a devoted homemaker. Charlotte was a member of First General Baptist Church. She married Charles West in 1989. He preceded her in death in October of 2007.
She leaves behind her daughters Marilyn Ehlert and Connie Regner, sons Phillip, Wayne, and Fred Niemeyer, sisters Francis Browatski and Joann Sipple, brothers Dick, Everett, Clyde and Gene Hite, stepchildren, Sherry Howe, Lee Metcalf, Irene Martin, Joann Pilkington, and Robert West, 8 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services to celebrate Charlotte's life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at First General Baptist Church, 2825 S. Baltimore Ave., Decatur, Illinois, 62521, with Pastor Randall Garrett officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday February 9, 2013in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Mattoon, Illinois. Memorials may be directed to the First General Baptist Church.
