Christina Brinkoetter's Obituary
Decatur-Christina Brinkoetter, 47, of Decatur passed away at 10:50 pm Thursday March 24, 2011 in her home.
Mass of remembrance and celebration of her life will be at 11:00 am Monday, March 28, 2011 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Rev. Rick Weltin as Celebrant. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Sunday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Gardens at Graceland Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Land of Lincoln Credit Union for the education fund of Christina’s Children.
Christina Brinkoetter was born on May 12, 1963 on Mother’s day in Davenport, Iowa to Ann and her late father Charles D. Hawkins. She married Peter Brinkoetter on June 4, 1988 in Davenport, Iowa. She is survived by her husband, Peter, and her children Nathan, Nicholas, Audrianne, and Meredith. Christina is also survived by her mother, Anna Ludtke and step-father, John, her brother, Charles S. Hawkins and wife Sandy, grandmother, Elsie Roenfeldt, nephew, Colin Brinkoetter and wife Meleah, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a very special best friend Barbara Schaab. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Hawkins, and grandfather Charles W. Roenfelt. Christina also had many special friends who blessed her with their prayers and help throughout her life.
