Ben and Mary,I am truly sorry to learn of your tragic loss. We were next door neighbors during our elementary school years. Most of my childhood memories include Chrissy i.e., our countless walks to the gas station to buy penny candy, dancing to Michael Jackson's Thriller album on the picnic table, riding our bikes throughout the neighborhood, playing on your front porch,…. Chrissy was such a fun friend to have. She will be remembered fondly. Springfield, IL US
Mary Ann, Ben and family,Though there are no words that can comfort you at this time please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Always remember the good times, no one can take those away from you. We love you and send our deepest sympathy. Towanda, IL US
Chrissy's family,I'm so sorry for your loss, Chrissy was such a good person and didn't deserve such an awful fate, I am truly shocked…It seems like bad things happen to the good people….There are not enough words to express my sincere thoughts…. Decatur, IL US
Mary and Ben, We use to live on 20th street in the late 80's and I have video of Chrissy and Laura playing with our children. We are also friends of Roger Lowe. I did not realize the connection until we read the obituary. We are so very sorry for your loss. I remember Chrissy as a very energetic young girl, full of life. I work in the Decatur School District and I heard many many comments of how Christina was such a conscientous mother. Such a tragedy. May God comfort all of you at this time. And, may Chrissy rest in peace.Sincere sympathy, Ronda and Steve Smith Decatur, IL US
Ben, Mary, Elizabeth, and especially Laura,Well, first of all I want to express my shock to this tragedy. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard about what happened, I'm still speechless.I used to live right down the street from you. We grew up together and played for hours on end. Remember Laura all the places we went together? You and Chrissy both. We were always together it seemed. The three of us were always so close. I am so sorry that we didn't remain friends into adulthood. Always thought we would reconnect sometime, somewhere. I would've enjoyed knowing Chrissy as an adult, as her friendship when we were kids meant so much to me. I'll never forget her or the times we shared.I am sorry for the loss of your daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and mother. My thoughts are with you now and for always.I didn't know her children butmy heart goes out to them. With much love, Emily Decatur, IL US
