Cinda "Cindi" Kay Hutchins' Obituary
Cinda “Cindi” Kay Hutchins, 62, of Mt. Auburn, IL passed away peacefully on July 28th, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur surrounded by her loved ones.
Cindi was born on August 11th, 1960 in Taylorville, IL to her beloved parents, Bob and Anna Furgeson. She grew up in Taylorville and graduated Taylorville High School in 1978.
Cindi worked as a secretary at Taylorville High School for over 25 years. She retired in 2017 and spent her days relaxing in her pool.
Cindi married the love of her life, Joshua Hutchins, on March 4th, 1994. They enjoyed camping, gardening and most of all spoiling their grandchildren, Parker and Cameron Peabody of Taylorville.
Cindi was a devoted mother and best friend to her daughters, Stacy Hafliger and Lisa Peabody, both of Taylorville.
Cindi found joy in cooking meals for her family, baking delicious desserts and expressing creativity through crafting and sewing. She had a passion for shopping, giving gifts and making the holidays magical for all of her loved ones. Cindi selflessly helped others any time the opportunity presented itself.
In addition to her husband, daughters and grandchildren, Cindi will be watching over her parents: Bob and Anna Furgeson of Taylorville, IL and in-laws: Mike and Kathy Hutchins of Mt. Auburn, IL; son-in-law, Drew Peabody of Taylorville, IL; brothers: Bob (Candace) Furgeson of Normal, IL, and Bill Furgeson of Taylorville, IL; sister, Shannon (Rob) Warford of Elburn, IL; sister-in-law, Nancy (Ray) Carter of Mt. Auburn, IL; brother-in-law, Michael Hutchins, Jr. of Yellville, AR, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, family members and friends.
Cindi was greeted in heaven by her grandparents, Dale & Geraldine “Jerry” Daughtry and Erma Firnhaber.
A celebration of Cindi’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you commemorate her giving spirit with a random act of kindness.
