Clara Mae Dixon's Obituary
Clara Mae Dixon, 85, of Decatur, died on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006 in the Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be 10 am Tues, Oct. 30, 2006 in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Mon. evening from 5 to 7 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Maroa Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to: DMH Hospice or Susan B. Komen Foundation.
Clara was born on Jan. 15, 1921 in Kenney, the daughter of Floyd and Callia Mae Evans Dobbs. She worked at Decatur Memorial Hospital as a typist in the printing department for 20 years retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Delphi Sorority and a volunteer at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Surviving is her sons: Fred Pat Dixon and Tom Pat Dixon all of Decatur; daughter, Dorothy Jack Wood of Clearwater, FL; brothers: Bob Dobbs of Tulsa, OK; Wayne Dobbs of Maroa and Jack Dobbs of Spokane, WA; sister, Pauline Baker of Tulsa, OK; 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gene, Don and Frankie and sister, Louise Arney.
The family of Clara Mae Dixon is being served by the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, 2801 N. Monroe St. Decatur.
