Clare M. Wells' Obituary
Clare M. Wells, 96, of Decatur passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in Imboden Creek Living Center.
Clare was born on February 7, 1920 in Cape Girardeau, MO the daughter of Dr. O.J. and Clare J. (Bray) Miller. She was a member of Ss. James and Patrick Parish. She married Joseph H. Wells on April 10, 1948 in Cape Girardeau, MO. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1991.
Surviving are her son, Joseph D. Wells (Claudia) of Berlin, CT; daughter, Mary Danielson of Decatur; Rebecca Peacock of Thornton, CO; grandchildren, Thomas Peacock, Amanda Aten (Brett) and Kristen Peacock all of Colorado; Matthew Wells and Stephen Wells both of Connecticut; and one great-grandson, Brett Aten III.
She was preceded in death by her, parents, husband, one son, Edward Wells, and one infant daughter, Nancy Clare Wells.
Clare was a devoted wife, mother, Nurse (R.N.), and friend.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon Monday, February 22, 2016 in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. John Burnette as Celebrant. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau, MO at a later date. Memorials are suggested to St. Stephen’s Indian School in St. Stephens, WY.
