I met Clarence the day he married my Great Aunt Maudie. He was a man of few words..... until he got you out to his "man cave" with all of his RC cars, planes and boats! He had a very special talent and a true love of RC's and loved to show & teach us about them. My fondest memory of Clarence is going with him out to a field in Cahokia where he showed me his talent with a brand new RC plane he had been working on. We may have been gone longer than we told Aunt Maudie we would be, so whenever we got home, that sweet tiny lady was a bit upset with us and told us we were both in the dog house. When I asked Clarence what exactly that meant for us, he pointed out into the backyard to his man cave and kind of snickered. If being in the dog house meant getting to hang out with him and watch him work his talent, I wanted to be sent there more!
Thoughts and prayers to his family. You all had one gem of a guy there. I lost my dad on 3/5. While going through his address book I was reminded of Clarence and decided to search him. I was so sorry to find him here. No matter how old they, or we get...... losing them is never easy.
