Cora Mae Ramsey Rucker's Obituary
Cora Mae Ramsey Rucker, 96, of Decatur, died Saturday, October 27, 2007 in Fair Havens Christian Home.
Cora was born June 28, 1911, in Decatur, the daughter of Linneaus J. and Gertrude Davis Ramsey. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and retired from Bergner's where she worked in ladies apparel for 30 years. She married Wilson Wayne Rucker on July 26, 1935.
She is survived by a sister, Dorothy Meece of Phoenix, AZ; nephews: Ben Howenstine of Tuscon, AZ, Martin wife, Karen Maguet of Monticello, Larry wife, Patricia Maguet of Auburn, NY, and Greg Meece of Phoenix, AZ; niece, Diane husband, Bill Bickford of Surprise, AZ; nephew-in-law, Arnold Gross of Decatur; great nieces: Diane E. husband, Rick Doty and Susan K. Gross both of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 am Tuesday, October 30, 2007 in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with services to follow at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: Fair Havens Christian Home.
