I have no words to express how I feel regarding Mr. Diggs’ passing. He was a role model for all people and one of the kindest, most caring men I knew. We worked together professionally at Washington Elementary School and developed a friendship along the way. I came to realize that Mr. Diggs exemplified the kind of person we all should emulate and try to be. He was an excellent educator and wonderful husband and example-setting father. I shall never forget this caring, giving man. My best to his family.

Mr. Diggs my favorite teacher at Washington Grade School in the 60’s. He was always happy and loved his students. I was glad to see and talk to him at the Washington Open House before it closed. May the family feel the loving presence and comfort of our Lord during this time of sorrow and in the days ahead.

Thank you Mr. Diggs for believing in me. You taught me well in 5th grade and motivated and encouraged me. You believed I was a leader, and therefore, made me Captain of Patrol at Washington Elementary School. I’m engaged with at risk youth currently assisting academically because I had strong African American men like you and Mr. Shaw. Thank you Mr. Diggs! You served life with heart, passion, and dedication. Your positive inprint is all over me and now being transferred to the youth I work with. The youth I work with dont even know that they are receiving knowledge, dedication, and passion that Mr. Diggs instilled in me. Have an awesome eternity in heaven Mr Diggs! Job well done!
