Curtis Amos McGinnis, 59, passed away at St. Mary’s in Decatur Il, on Friday, March 11, 2022 with his loving family by his side.
Curtis is survived by his son, Alfred (Stephanie) O’Neal Jr.; daughter, Marquitha Sisk; brothers, Albert (Gretchen) Amos, Henry (Taiwana) Amos, Michael Amos, David McGinnis, Matt McGinnis and Ken Sisk; sisters, Phyllis Amos, Reshawon Neal, Janice Lawson, Kelly Janes, Erin McGinnis, Terri Jordan and Connie Marshall; sisters-in-law, Marlene (Percy) Beeler and Kathleen(Frantisha) Bradford; grandchildren, Ashley (Brandon) Thomas, Shalonda Hettinger, Rhonda Hettinger and Bianca Pasley; great-grandchildren, Zy’Miria and Zy’Merrion; nephews, David Reed Jr., Henry Huff II and Fred Robinson Jr.; nieces, BaToshia McGraw, Shaquetta (Earnanduz) Booker Sr., Camiya Amos, Latoya (Gary) Currin, Sophia, Mary, Cynthia and Kimberly and special friend, Alonzo Cross as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Bright, Bessie Huff and Don and Barbara McGinnis; companion, Melissa O’Neal; brother, Henry Huff I; sister, Rosie (Hammond) Rivera and great-grandchildren, Zy’Mir and Za’Nairia.
A visitation will be from 2:00pm- 4:00pm on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home 2801 N. Monroe St. Decatur Il 62526.
