Dale L. Urquhart's Obituary
Decatur – Dale L. Urquhart,Sr, 73, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018, in his home with his family by his side.
Dale was born September 15, 1944, in Decatur. He retired after 35 years from Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was passionate about trains, restoring his 1951 Packard, spending 30 years as a member of Prairie Land Dance Club, traveling, and his family.
Dale is survived by his wife, Leona, which he spent 51 years loving; their three children: Dale, Jr. (Susan), Jeff (Lori) and Stacey Hagan (Rodney); their eight grandchildren; his two brothers: James (Judy) and Richard (Mindy); nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; son, Terry; one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Tuesday, January 16, 2018, in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be 1 PM, Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Casual attire is requested.
