Cole Daniel Evans' Obituary
Cole Daniel Evans, 15, of Forsyth, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, March 5, 2019, in his home.
Cole was born May 21, 2003, in Decatur, to Derek and Kristen (Barnett) Evans. He was a freshman at Maroa-Forsyth High School. Cole was an Avid Cubs fan, loved to hunt, fish and play sports, but most of all, he loved spending time with his buddies patronizing the local Forsyth restaurants.
He is survived by his parents, Derek Evans of Forsyth and Kristen Evans of Forsyth; his brother, Brock Evans of Forsyth; two uncles, Brett (Katie) Barnett of Chicago and Jason (Migumie) Evans of Tokyo, Japan; paternal grandparents, Mike (Mary) Evans of Decatur and maternal grandparents, Jane (Don) Queary of Maroa and Dan Barnett of Decatur; paternal great-grandfather, Richard Evans of Decatur; three great-uncles, Daniel Evans of Decatur, Terry (Kelli) Barnett of Rockford, IL and Richard (Cindy) Hanes of Maroa; two great-aunts, Diane (Marshall) England of Portland, OR and Kathy Vathakos of Fort Myers, FL.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Cole Evans will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2019, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home 2801 North Monroe Street, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2019, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maroa Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated for a memorial scholarship fund in Cole’s name.
