Daniel Lee Pugh's Obituary
Daniel Pugh 44 of Mt. Zion died Sunday July 9, 2006 in his Home.
A memorial services celebrating his life will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday July 13, 2006 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-7:00 pm Thursday in the funeral home.
Daniel was born on December 21, 1961 in Taylorville, IL the son of Donna Swarms Fisher and Charles Bud Pugh. Dan graduated from Macon High School. He spent his youth in the country breaking and working with horses. He worked the sound board and played harmonica for the band Flat Branch back in the 80's. He worked with his father and brothers running many businesses including Mr. Big Stuffs, Baltimore Shell and BDS Machinery. He was an excellent mechanic. His last business endeavor was as a salesman for ProEmp.
Dan is survived by his wonderful wife, Lisa, his step-daughters Megan Joel McWilliams of Decatur, Shilo Meyer of Iowa, his mother, Donna Fisher of Decatur, brothers: Steve Pugh of Mt. Zion, Kerry Melba Pugh of Robinson, IL, Brad Maggy Pugh of Decatur. "Papa" will be sadly missed by his grandchildren whom he adored and who adored him; Katlin, Dylan and Nicole McWilliams and Laurdyn Meyer. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Dan married Lisa Davis on November 25, 1995. Dan led a very interesting life enjoying many exciting hobbies throughout his life, from writing poetry for his lovely wife to building a race car and drag racing with his brothers. He got his scuba diving license and enjoyed diving. Collecting knives and training dogs was an ongoing hobby. His latest exciting hobby was getting his pilots license to fly his wife to see her daughter and granddaughter in Iowa.
Dan is preceded in death by his father, Bud, step-father, Dan Fisher and his grandparents.
Dan will be missed greatly by all. For all who knew Dan loved him.
