Darrell E. Duda's Obituary
Darrell E. Duda 63 of Decatur died Wednesday July 7, 2004 in the Danville Veteran's Hospital.
Graveside services will be 10 am Monday July 12, 2004 in the Mount Gilead Cemetery, where the Macon County Honor Guard will conduct Military Honors. Darrell was born in Decatur on December 31, 1940 the son of William and Ava Jean Childers Duda. He proudly served his country twice in Vietnam. Serving in the Air Force. He received the Flying Cross, Purple Heart, Bronze Leaf for his duty to his country. He loved to fish and hunt. He was a member of the VFW Post # 99, the DAV Chapter 17. He worked as an operating engineer working out of Local 965, for many years.
Two children, Darrell and Michelle, survive Darrell; one brother, William "Bill" Duda and wife Jane of Decatur, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents.
