David A. Humphreys, 45, of Decatur entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 21, 2002 in his home.
Rite of Christian Burial will be 9:30 A.M. Friday October 25, 2002 in St. Patrick Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 until 8 P.M. in J. J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home. David requested casual attire. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Memorials to: DMH Hospice or American Cancer Society.
David was born in Clinton on August 19, 1957 the son of Robert and Shirley Wise Humphreys. He was a self employed computer programer, member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Colombus #577 Very Reverend Jeremiah J. Murphy Assembly. David spent many hours at the K of C Hall over the last ten years overseeing the Monday and Tuesday night bingo. He married Carol Lee on October 12, 1996 in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife Carol of Decatur; parents Robert and Shirley Humphreys of Decatur; son, Michael David Humphreys of Decatur; daughters: Kellisa Lyn Humphreys of Decatur; Noelle, Jessica, and Taylor Rosson all of Decatur; sisters: Linda Sue Humphreys Tim of Oakley; Laurie Morehead Rick of Decatur; granddaughter, Kaylee; one niece and many, many friends.
David was preceded in death by his grandparents.
