Decatur- David Mann Jr., 34, of Decatur passed away at 12:17 AM Saturday, July 16, 2016 in Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
Services to celebrate David’s life will be 11a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Memorials may be directed to the wishes of the family, C/O Jacqueline Mann. Repast as God’s Place of Deliverance.
David was born December 25, 1981 in Decatur, IL, the son of Jacqueline (Evans) Mann and David E. Mann Sr. He was a car detailer, and owned his own car detailing business. David was a member of the God’s Place of Deliverance. He enjoyed fishing, cars, and most of all, spending time with his family.
Cherishing his memories are his mother, Jacqueline Mann of Decatur; his sons, Daveon Mann of Decatur, Darius Williams of Decatur, Davuntez Mann of Decatur, Davuntay Mann of Decatur; daughters, Davieona Mann of Decatur, Davae Barbee of Decatur, Damiya Mann of Decatur, Laiyia Leggions of Decatur; brother, Demetruis Mann of Decatur; sisters, Nakisha (Kennon) Jones of Decatur, Shimeka (Danny) Knight of Decatur, Clarissa Gipson of Chicago, IL; grandmother, Georgia Barron of Decatur, great-grandmother, Luella Evans of Decatur, special cousins, Albert Evans and Maurice O’Neal, special friends, Jacoby Tennin, Charnise Jarrett, Dystine Barbee, special uncle, Billy Neal; loving soulmate, Shalyn Williams, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, David E. Mann Sr., grandfathers, Billy Goforth, Eddie Mann, Robert Barron; grandmother, Bertha Ridley, uncle, Robert Evans Sr. cousin, Shalmar Evans, a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
