Dean Carleton's Obituary
Dean Carleton 81 of Decatur made his transition on Friday February 4, 2005 in St. Mary's Hospital.
Graveside services will be 10:00 am Tuesday February 8, 2005 in Graceland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is in-charge of arrangements. Dean was born on July 12, 1923 in Larned, KS the son of Marshall and Mila Stolle Carleton. He was a retired US Air Force Lieutenant Colonel. He married Norma McEvoy on July 24, 1944 she preceded him in death on July 12, 1984. He later married Phyllis Barnett on January 2, 1989 she survives.
Surviving are his wife Phyllis, sons, Michael Dean Carleton and wife Joan of Nokesville, VA; James Bruce Carleton of Anaheim, CA; step-daughters, Andrea Smith and husband Ronald of Decatur; Janet Alkman and husband William of Decatur; brother Lyle Carleton and wife Bertha of Arizona; two grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and four step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Norma, and two brothers.
