Dean Haldon Cole's Obituary
Dean Haldon Cole, 74, of Mt. Zion, IL, died February 20, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL.
Dean was born October 26, 1943 in Patoka, IL, the son of, Charles “Dewy” and Marie (Zedel) Cole. He married Mildred Gentry on October 27, 1962 in Decatur, IL.
Dean was retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co., serving as a millwright. During his leisure time he enjoyed restoring automobiles, boating and waterskiing. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Decatur.
Dean leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Mildred; children, Deanette L. Wahlsmith (Thomas) of Chicago, Brian S. Cole (Tammy) of Maroa, Charles T. Cole (Kimberly) of Indianapolis, IN; sister, Betty Greenleaf of Brandon, FL; grandchildren Anna Kate Wahlsmith, Richard Cole, Lyle Cole, Ludwig Cole, Brandon Cole, Kyle Cole, James Jones, Kylea Keever, Karina Keever and great granddaughter, Sklar Jo-Anne Jones.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Point Pleasant Cemetery.
