I would like to thank every for their very kind comments and gifts as it makes these past few days a little easier and the future a little brighter. from her son Danny
Deanna was a friend from church. She and I had a good time together. We emailed a lot. We were both in the choir at church and sat together on the front row. I'd like to say that we weren't rowdy–in our own ladylike way–but that would be stretching the truth. We were also fellow cat lovers/owners. Once in a while my husband and I would kidnap Deanna and take her to the Illiopolis Christian Church for a big chicken or turkey dinner after church. I will miss having her in my life. Lit a candle in memory of Deanna M. Mesecher
Deanna was such a sweet, lovely lady. My husband and my favorite memory was of having dinner with she and my father, Norman Gromen. Dad went to wash his hands after dinner, and we kidded with Deanna that we should act like we were mad at him for taking too long. We didn't think she'd do it, but as soon as he came around the corner, she put her hands on her hip, and started tapping her foot with attitude, and got an amused yet annoyed look on her face. We fooled him! It's a little thing but she was so gentle and quiet that to see her take part in kidding him was a delight. We still laugh about it, and it'll be a precious memory of her quiet humor.
Deanna,Please know that you were loved deeply and will be missed immensely.Norman
