Debbie McFadden's Obituary
Debbie Jane McFadden, 71, of Decatur died Friday September 15, 2023 in Marshfield Clinic in Minocqua, WI. She was born on February 29, 1952 in Milwaukee, WI to Gerald Boeder and Esther (Klein) Boeder.
Debbie had a love for nature, animals, and helping others. She earned a BA from St. Olaf College, MN and worked as a parole officer for the state of Illinois focused on rehabilitation. A member of St. Patrick Church, she sang in choirs, taught Vacation Bible School, and volunteered for many causes throughout her life. She married Timothy Patrick McFadden on October 8, 1989 in Allerton Park, Monticello, IL.
Surviving are her husband, Tim, sons, Larry Johnson (Jinny) of Camuy, PR; Patrick (Ronni) McFadden of Cerro Gordo, IL; daughters Maeve McFadden (Keenan) of Bethel Park, PA; Kelly (Mike) Jozsa of Decatur; sisters Laurie Boeder of Washington, DC; Bobbie Jeffrey (Bruce) of Kansas City, MO; Julie Yandell (David) of Skokie, IL; eighteen nieces and nephews, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Kathleen McFadden. She will be missed dearly.
The family of Debbie Jane McFadden is being served by Moran & Goebel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2801 N. Monroe Street, Decatur. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 27, 2023 in St. Patrick Catholic Church. Entombment will be in the Star of Hope Mausoleum at Graceland Cemetery. Memorial gifts are suggested to Ss James and Patrick Parish, the Wildlife Conservation Society, Save the Children, or the Minocqua Dragon Boat Festival Paddler’s Pledge Program.
