Delmar E. Jordan's Obituary
Delmar E. “Lefty” Jordan, 79, of Decatur died Tuesday July 14, 2009 in Fair Havens Christian Home.
In honoring Delmar’s request there will be no visitation. Graveside service will be 2:00 pm Friday July 17, 2009 in Macon County Memorial Park with Pastor Tim Crump officiating and Military Rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to Macon County Honor Guard.
Delmar was born on May 30, 1930 in Moweaqua, IL the son of Ceford and Angie Wicker Jordan. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked 30 plus years for General Electric. Delmar enjoyed his “Cardinals” Go Cards. He enjoyed playing Golf, Bowling, going to the casino boats, eating out, and shopping at Wal-Mart.
Surviving are one sister, June Bledsaw of Decatur; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends who he loved and they loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and five sisters.
The family would like to thank the staff at Fair Havens Christian Home for taking such good care of their uncle.
