Decatur – Delphine Perkowski, 97, of Decatur, formerly of Deerfield, IL, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Generations at McKinley Court, Decatur, IL.
Delphine was born January 29, 1922, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Leon and Josephine (Polewski) Nijakowski. She was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church in Wheeling, IL. Delphine married Leonard Perkowski on July 10, 1948 in Chicago, IL, and he preceded her in death on December 14, 1987.
Surviving is her daughter, Celeste (Jim) Lambert of Forsyth; and granddaughters: Melissa Lambert and Melanie (Dale Thuet) Lambert.
Delphine was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers: Frank (Florence) Muszanowski, Henry (Marie) Marmin and Thaddeus (Loretta) Nijakowski.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, Wheeling, IL. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, Wheeling, IL, or Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Decatur
