Demetri Horne's Obituary
Demetri Horne, 31, of Decatur, IL passed away December 31, 2023, at his residence.
Demetri was born January 22, 1992, in Chicago, IL, the son of Carlotta Sandra Horne.
Demetri had been a 4-year employee of Caterpillar Inc. He enjoyed fishing, held a passion for cooking, enjoyed listening to music and watching his favorite movie, “Scarface”. He was also fond of cats and dogs. One of his greatest loves was spending time with his family and participating as a foster parent.
Surviving is his mother, Carlotta; siblings, Kenyadda Horne of Decatur, IL, Isaiah Horne of Decatur, IL, Jazma Ross of Murphysboro, TN, Delihah Horne of Decatur, IL, Jeremy Horne of Decatur, IL, and Sharhonda Horne of Decatur, IL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Ruth Ann Horne, Uncle, Tony Horne, sister, Arica Horne and nephew, Eric Hallom.
Homegoing funeral service will be held 11 AM, January 17, 2024, at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home. The visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. The burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
