Deniese Tozer Gilman's Obituary
Deniese Tozer Gilman, 52, of Decatur, died Sunday, January 25, 2009 in her home after a 10 year battle with cancer.
Deniese was born July 10, 1956, in Decatur, the daughter of Donald E. and Joyce Estelle Fischer Tozer. A graduate of Stephen Decatur High School, Deniese worked as financial secretary for Swartz Properties for 25 years. She was a licensed realtor, member and avid bowler in the N&W Cannonball League and an animal lover. She married David W. Gilman October 26, 1996.
Surviving is her husband, David of Decatur; step-son, Trevor Gilman of Warrensburg; brother, Mark wife, Becky Tozer of Decatur; step-father, Dan W. Johnson of Decatur; nieces: Lisa, Julie and Lindsay; nephews: Josh and Ryan; and many other relatives and friends.
Deniese was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Linda
Perenchio.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Friday, January 30, 2009 at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Services celebrating her life will be 10 am, Saturday, January 31, 2009 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in St. Maurice Cemetery, Morrisonville. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Susan B. Komen Foundation.
