I just learned of Denise’s passing today. We were good friends though grade and high school. I especially recall working on our homecoming floats in her basement on Walnut Grove. She was so much fun to be around and we had many good times together. My sincere sympathy goes to her husband and children. May God bless you all and may Denise Rest In Peace.

Denise, as I always knew her from years working together at the Social Security office in the 60’s, was indeed a delightful, social and kind person. I have fond memories of those years and a few times we were able to get our schedules coordinated for lunch with some of our other coworkers over the years. I had hoped for another one this next summer when I am in Decatur and sad to know we will have to be content to have her there in spirit. I know she was devoted to her family and send my deepest condolences for your loss and prayers for God to grace you with wonderful loving memories. I’m sure she is catching up with everyone in Heaven and enjoying the presence of her Lord.
We loved to hear about her travels. And she was willing to tell us.

Dear Gene, Eric Peggy and Julie,Your mom ‘s obituary was written in the style that truly reflects her wonderful attitude and joy in life. I just heard from her just not long ago in fact.. keeping up with all of you , through her,through the years was a blessing and a great constant in life for me!Right now, of all places, I have been in Hanoi and Hue in Vietnam, for the installation of the new Archbishop in Hanoi. Back home to Orange on Saturday afternoon. I will sure celebrate one of my Masses for her this upcoming weekend.
