Denise Hayden's Obituary
Denise Hayden, beloved, daughter, mother, auntie, cousin, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, just two days shy of her 60th birthday in Decatur, Illinois.
Denise was born on July 19, 1965, to her parents Levi Anfield and Anner Hayden. She is survived by her loving four children; Bernard, Eugene (spouse Roxanne), Tavaris (partner Apriel), and Amanda (partner Clyde). Denise was known for her competitive spirit and love of playing cards and partying. She could often be found hosting game nights with friends and family, showing off her skills in a friendly game of spades, deuces, tunk,
In addition to her card-playing prowess, Denise was an excellent cook. She always had a delicious meal prepared for her family, and her homemade dishes will be greatly missed. Denise leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, as well as 14 adoring grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. While their names aren't mentioned here, they held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
As we say goodbye to Denise, let us remember her with fondness and gratitude for the joy and love she brought into our lives. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May her spirit continue to shine bright in the heavens above. Rest in peace, dear Denise.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, in Fairlawn Cemetery. A 10:00am visitation will be held at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.
