Derrill Victor "Vic" Meyer's Obituary
Derrill Victor "Vic" Meyer, 73 of Decatur died Friday May 16, 2003 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Services will be Monday May 19, 2003 at 10 a.m. in Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Sunday May 18, 2003 from 5-7 p.m. at the J.J. Moran and Sons Funeral Home in Decatur. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Condolences may be to the family at www.jjmoran.com
Mr. Meyer was born February 2, 1930 in Morrill, Kansas, the son of F. W. Joseph and B. E. Irene Clark Meyer. He graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska in 1958. He married Nadine E. Knoll in Loveland, Colorado on August 8. 1958. He taught at the Lutheran School in Decatur from 1958 to 1968. He then worked for the Decatur School District #61, lastly as the principal for Brush College Elementary School, retiring in 1986.
He leaves not to mourn, but to cherish fond memories, his wife, Nadine; daughters, Lynne Meyer of Peoria and Anne Bradley and husband Gary of Decatur; grandchildren Elizabeth and Sarah Bradley; sisters, JoAnn Fiegenbaum and husband Harlan of Topeka, Kansas, Elsie Hundley of Topeka, Kansas, and Doris Wharton and husband James of San Antonio, Texas; four nephews and two nieces.
His parents preceded him in death.
