Dial D. Rasar's Obituary
Dial D. Rasar 78 of Decatur died Friday January 13, 2006 in McKinley Court Nursing Home.
Funeral services celebrating the life of Dial will be 11:00 am Monday January 16, 2006 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with Rev. David Pinta officiating. Visitation will be on hour prior to service. Dial was born on April 12, 1927 the son of Dial W. and Edna Marie Smith Rasar. He was a truck driver for Scherer Freight Lines and Mc Bride Trucking retiring in 1983. He was a member of Teamsters Local 279 and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Willene Slaughter on August 18, 1951 in Decatur.
Surviving is his wife, Mother, Edna Marie Rasar of Clinton, AR; son, Dial D. Rasar and wife Dena of Decatur; daughter, Barbara Collins and husband Jim of Macon; sisters, Paula Smith of Clinton, AR; Helen Cullum and husband Lane of Flagstaff, AZ; grandchildren, Aron Rasar, Kristy Schmahl Matthew, Daniel Collins Mindy, and Amber Haun Jantsen; great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Morgan, and Madison.
He was preceded in death by his Father.
The family would like to thank the many friends and caregivers at McKinley Court Nursing Home and DMH Hospice; especially Jan, Kathy, Sherry, and Traci who lovingly cared for Dial during his illness.
We will all miss his smile.
