Diane C. Collins' Obituary
Diane C. Collins, 46, of Hoopeston, died at 7:38 AM, Friday, March 4, 2005, at the Hoopeston Community Memorial Hospital.
Born Feb. 7, 1959 at Decatur, she was the daughter of Kingston and Marlene Stitt Isenhart. She married Bruce Ackerman on Dec. 8, 1979, at Decatur. She was later married Andrew Collins on Nov. 12, 1987 at Decatur. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1995.
She is survived by her mother, Marlene Isenhart of Decatur, two daughters, Megan Ackerman of Springfield and Katie Collins of Hoopeston, one sister, Karen John Moody of Decatur, two brothers, Mark Kim Isenhart of West Allis, WI, and David Jo Ann Isenhart of Bristol, IN, and a close companion Mike Crose of Hoopeston. Her father preceded her in death.
Diane had worked in retail sales for many years. After moving to Hoopeston she had worked as a sales clerk at the Weber's Drug Store in Hoopeston.
She was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hoopeston.
She had also been a member of the Hoopeston Junior Women's Club. She enjoyed swimming and working with crafts.
Diane was a devoted mother and a wonderful daughter, sister, and friend.
A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Collins will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, March 7, 2005, at the St. Anthony Catholic Church, 423 S. Third St, in Hoopeston, with Rev. Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM, Sunday, March 6, 2005, at the Brown-Alkire Funeral Home, 309 E. Washington St., in Hoopeston, with Rosary services at 6:00 PM. There will also be a visitation for Mrs. Collins from 5-7 PM, on Monday, March 7, 2005, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 3850 Lourdes Drive, in Decatur. Private family burial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Decatur. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is assisting the family with local arrangements.
