Dixie Stickles' Obituary
Dixie Stickles, 73, of Decatur, died Saturday, October 2, 2010 in Heartland Nursing Home, Decatur.
Dixie was born August 7, 1937 in Springfield the daughter of Noble Eugene and Marizella Dixie Weaver Beck. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who enjoyed working in her flower garden. She was a magnificent cook who also loved working with ceramics. Dixie married Joseph “Ted” Stickles on November 24, 1958 and he preceded her in death on June 11, 2009.
Dixie is survived by her children: Melody A. Stickles and Mark A. Shannon Smith all of Decatur; grandchildren: Andrew, Dustin and Jenna Smith; as well as many friends.
Her parents, husband and one sister preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 10 until the service time at 11 am Thursday, October 7, 2010 in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorial may be given to the family. The family request causal attire.
