Dollie Mae Chandler's Obituary
Dollie Mae "Baby Dear" Coleman Chandler 71 of Milwaukee, WI formerly of Decatur, IL passed away Tuesday October 9, 2007 at 2:05 pm in St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.
Homegoing services will be 11:00 am Wednesday October 17, 2007 in Jasper Street Church of Christ with Brother Mayo Towles officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 am Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Dollie was born February 1, 1936 in Essex, MO. She was the seventh of nine children, born to the late James and Georgia Anna Bunch Coleman. Dollie was raised in Missouri and attended School there. She moved to Decatur in 1972 where she obeyed the gospel and was baptized into North St. Church of Christ under the leadership of Bro. Mayo Towles. She later moved to Milwaukee, WI and united with the Brentwood Church of Christ where she remained faithful until her health failed.
Dollie leaves to cherish fond memories three sons, Dwight of La Cross, WI; Glenn and Robert Jr. both of Milwaukee, WI; one daughter, Kimberley Ann and husband Danny Whipple of Sparta, WI; one sister Viola and husband James L. Glass of Decatur, IL; two brothers, John H. Coleman of Decatur, IL; Carl Coleman and wife Lavon of Sparta, WI; eleven grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
One daughter Audrey Anita, one son Stanley Demetra, grandparents, father, mother, three brothers Elgin, James Jr. and Robert Lee, and two sisters Odeal Ruthie Lee, and Johnana preceded her in death.
A special thanks to the Brentwood Church of Christ for being so loving and kind to Dollie. She truly loved you. The family thanks St. Joseph hospital and all the nurses in the hospice ward for being so caring to Dollie. The family wants to thank Jasper Street Church of Christ especially Bro and Sis Towles and Bro. and Sis. Hill for all their thoughtfulness, kindness, and prayers and all your calls, cards and every service you have given to us.
